Dry fish curry / karuvadu kulambu
INGREDIENTS
2 - tsp oil
½ tsp - mustard lentils.
¼ tsp - cumin
¼ tsp - ventayam(fenugreek)
2 - onions
3 - tomatoes
4 - green chillis
3 -brinjals
1- drumstick
2- potatoes.
6 tbsp- kulambu powder
Dry fish / karuvadu
salt - to taste .
2 cups -tamarind water.
METHOD
1. To a pan add 2 tsp oil and ½ tsp mustard lentils.
2. Now ¼ tsp cumin and ¼ tsp ventayam(fenugreek)
3. Saute it by adding 2 onions, 3 tomatoes and 4 green chillis
4. Then add 3 brinjals,1 drumstick and 2 potatoes.
5. Saute well for 2 to 3 minutes.
6. Add 6 tbsp kulambu powder and mix well.
7. Now add the Dry fish / karuvadu and salt to taste .
8. Mix it well and add 2 cups of tamarind water.
9. Mix it and close the lid and give it a boil for 5 to 10 min.
10. Delicious Dry fish curry / karuvadu kulambu is ready to be served.
