Meen Pollichathu| Kerala Style Meen Pollichathu| Vaazhai ilai Meen Pollichathu|Karimeen Pollichathu
MEEN POLLICHADHU
1 tsp - crushed garlic
1/2 tsp - fish masala.
add salt - as required
1 tsp - chilli powder
½ tsp- turmeric powder.
½ cup - water
fish - vanjaram
2 tbsp- oil .
1 - onion
1 - tomato.
1 - green chilli
1 tbsp - curry leaves.
banana leaf - 1
coriander and curry leaves - as required .
METHOD
1. To a bowl add 1 tsp crushed garlic ,1/2 tsp fish masala.
2. By mixing well add salt as required, 1 tsp chilli powder and ½ tsp turmeric powder.
3. Mix it by adding ½ cup water and make it into a batter.
4. Spread the masala on both the sides of the fish here I have used vanjaram.
5. Marginate the fish for 10 minutes.
6. To a heated pan add 2 tbsp oil .
7. Now fry the marginated fish until golden brown on one side.
8. Drain the oil and Take it out when golden brown on both the sides.
9. To a heated pan add 1 tbsp oil , 1 onion and 1 tomato.
10. Mix well by adding 1 green chilli and 1 tbsp curry leaves.
11. Add salt to taste and 1 tsp fish masala and saute well.
12. To a banana leaf spread 1 tsp oil .
13. Spread 1 layer of the prepared masala
14. Now put the fried fish on top add another layer of the masala .
15. Then add onions ,coriander and curry leaves as required .
16. Fold the banana leaf and tie it.
17. To a pan add 1 tsp oil and put the banana leaf in the pan.
18. Close the lid and keep it for 10 minutes .
19. Turn the banana leaf after 10 minutes.
20. Take it out and serve hot.
21. Kerala style meen pollichadhu is ready to be served.
