DAHI VADA RECIPE
Urad dhal - 1 cup
Water - 2 cups
Chopped carrots - 1 tbsp
Chopped onion - 1 nos
Green chilli - 2 nos
Curry leaves - 1 tbsp
Ginger - 1/2 tsp
Salt - as required
Oil - for deep fry
Curd - 3 tbsp
A pinch of cumin powder
A pinch of chilli powder
A pinch of chat masala
Chopped onion - 1 tbsp
Chopped carrot - 1 tbsp
Aloo bhujiya - as required
Tomato ketchup - as required
METHOD
1.Soak 1 cup urad dhal in 2 cups of water for 4 hours .
2.Drain the water completely and grind the dal by sprinkling water
3.To the dough add 1 tbsp chopped carrots ,1 onion and 2 green chilis ,mix well.
4.Now add 1 tbsp curry leaves ,1/2 tsp ginger and salt as required and mix well
5.In a heated pan add oil for deep fry.
6.Make the dough into small balls and flatten it slightly and make a hole at the centre.
7.Now deep fry in hot oil.
8.Turn the vadas when golden brown on both sides.
9.Take it out when it turns golden brown on both the sides.
10.Crispy hot vada is ready .
11.Now place 2 vada in a plate and add curd on top.
12. Add a pinch of cumin powder, chilli powder ,chat masala and salt to taste.
13.Now add 1 tbsp of chopped onion , 1 tsp of chopped carrot.
14. Then add aloo bhujiya and tomato ketchup to it .
15.Dahi vada is ready to be served.
